A Practical Application of
Meridian Style Acupuncture

$70.00, paperback, 392 pages, bibliography, glossary, illustrations throughout, charts, detailed index, 1996, ISBN 1-881896-13-7, LC 95-69801

By John E. Pirog

This is the first original text in English to attempt a comprehensive and rigorous exposition of meridian style acupuncture. In doing so it clarifies many of the underlying patterns determining modern acupuncture's formulas. Elements of acupuncture which often remain confusing for practitioners are presented in the broader context of energic theory through both clear analysis and practical application.

Prof. Pirog is currently Professor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine at the Minnesota College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine at Northwestern Health Sciences University. He has helped establish community-based acupuncture clinics in Chicago and maintains a private practice.
